‘ISDApp’ Made by Filipino IT Experts Wins NASA Space Challenge

There are a lot of factors to consider when you are a fisherman including the type of boat used, the location and especially the weather.
It is very dangerous if fisherman encounters a strong storm in the middle of the ocean with nothing but hope to survive with his sea vehicle.
Fortunately, Filipino inventors created a mobile application that will give fishermen information or data that will help their daily lives.
Based on a report from Philstar, the Pinoy IT called the application ISDApp that provides weather alerts that will be sent through text message.
The members of the iNON team are Marie Jeddah Legaspi, Julius Czar Torreda, Leandro de Guzman, Matthew Concubierta, and Revbrain Martin.
According to the report, These incredible Filipino IT was awarded by the United States’ National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
The iNON team beat the 1,395 teams from all over the world and brought home the “Galactic Impact” award.
NASA’s Space Apps Challenge aims to provide a solution and improvement in the whole world so as the universe.
Last Thursday, the US Ambassador Sung Kim met the Filipino IT who won the category and expressed amazement on the creation of the iNON team.
“I am deeply impressed by team iNON’s fantastic achievement in defeating teams from around the world to win first place in the Galactic Impact category of the NASA Space Apps Challenge”
Based on the report, Sung Kim said that these Filipino IT could also inspire their young fellowmen in creating a solution in some issues in the Philippines.
“They can inspire other Filipino youth to develop innovative solutions to problems in their own communities,” he said.
