Meanwhile, a terrible incident happened a child and his parents at Mount Pleasant, Iowa last August 30, 2018.

Based on a report from Des Moines Register, a 4-months-old baby named Sterling Daniel Koehn was found dead and infested with maggots.
Assistant Attorney General Coleman Mc Allister stated that the baby died of a diaper rash that hadn’t been changed for over a week.
“He was cold to the touch”

In November, the mother of the 4-month-old baby Cheyanne Harris was charged with child endangerment resulting to death and first-degree murder while his father Zachary Koehn was found guilty of the said charges.
According to the report, the lawyer of Harris claimed that she was suffering from postpartum depression and has no intention to hurt of slay her child.

Feces of the 4-month-old child was getting into his skin and lets the E. coli bacteria enter to the baby’s bloodstream.
Sterling was staying in a hot room which attracted flies to lay eggs and turns into maggots while the baby was alive.

Based on the report, the forensic entomologist examined the insects that entered the baby’s body. They reported that the 4-month old baby was on his swing for 14 days wearing the same diaper.
We can all hope for the justice for the poor baby.
