Katrina Velarde known as Suklay Diva has this health concern
Kapamilya singer Katrina Velarde, also known as Suklay Diva, exposed something about her health condition.
She was first joined the Kapamilya singing contest The Little Big Star. Katrina was among the batch mate of Charice Pempengco who is now known as Jake Zyrus.
Suklay Diva also joined the X Factor Philippines. However, her career gone cold after that.
During her recent guesting on Tonight With Boy Abunda, Katrina Velarde revealed that she got pregnant during after joining the reality singing contest.
However, she stressed out that was not the reason why she took a break from the industry.
“Nahinto po ako sa pagkanta dahil nagka-Bell’s Palsy po ako. Pero habang buntis po ako nun naga-Gary V. shows pa po ako. Nagba-backup backup pa po ako kay Tito Gary,” she shared.
According to www.webmd.com, “Bell’s palsy is a condition in which the muscles on one side of your face become weak or paralyzed. It affects only one side of the face at a time, causing it to droop or become stiff on that side. It’s caused by some kind of trauma to the seventh cranial nerve. This is also called the “facial nerve.”
“Habang nagbubuntis po ako nun, seven months po.” Hanggang ngayon daw ay hindi pa rin pantay ang kanyang mukha at “matagal po yung pag-heal ko po,” the singer added.
She also said that she is till undergoing therapy right now.
In spite of what happened to her, Katrina Velarde is still thankful because she gets to perform once again.
She is also happy with the thought that she has her son, Kendrick, in her life.
