Queen of all Media Kris Aquino replied to former actress Gretchen Barretto with the timeline of taxes she paid.

The Krissy-La Greta war started when Gretchen took the side of Nicko Falcis, the former business partner of Kris whom she accused of stealing money from her.

Following this, Greta imitated the alleged death threat of Kris to Nicko which added heat to the controversy.

Moreover, the partner of businessman Tonyboy Cojuangco revealed that the former presidential daughter was an instrument in a tax evasion case.

On the other hand, lawyers of the social media influencer released a statement that she was and will never be involved in this kind of controversy.

Without directly addressing Gretchen Barretto, Kris Aquino recently shared on her Instagram account a timeline of the taxes she paid.

“8 years of certified BIR tax payments ang nilabas ko, hindi po para magyabang, pero para magpatunay, na kailanman ay hindi ko magagawang ipagkait sa 🇵🇭 at mga PILIPINO ang karapat dapat at tamang buwis na dapat kong ibayad,” she said.

Furthermore, Kris stressed out that she paid a total of ₱322,098,558.74 in 8 years since 2008, one year before her mom the late President Cory Aquino died and two years after her brother Noynoy Aquino was elected as President.

Because of this, a netizen who does not consider herself as a fan of Kris Aquino agreed on what she posted

“Say all the nasty and bad things about Kris. Hate her, like her , sometimes i do. But one thing i admire about her – she pays taxes, rightly and diligently. Andami dyang businessmen, politicians, na hindi nagbabayad ng tamang buwis. Magsalita ang mga anghel at malinis ang konsensya na di nandaya sa pagbabayad ng buwis. Kayabangan ng sabihin natin ang paglalantad nya ng pagbabayad ng kanyang buwis, well mas ok na yan kesa tinanatago at wala namang itatago. However, one netizen pointed out that the Queen of all Media is just boasting.

“This is not logical for me as a rebuttal to Barreto’s statement. Of course, you will never evade paying your taxes. In fact, I feel like you’re too excited that your paid taxes reach billions. Not because you intend to contribute but for you to boast about it just like how you did on this post. Sa taas ng pride mong ‘yan. You did not answer Barreto for me on this one,” Instagram user @vazcyl said.
