The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area was spotted in Surigao del Sur affecting the weather condition over some parts of the country.
On Thursday (December 20, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that another low-pressure area was spotted at 955 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
The trough of the low-pressure area would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Visayas and Mindanao.
The weather agency also warned the residents in these areas for possible flashfloods and landslides.
The northeast monsoon would bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora and Quezon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over eastern sections of central Luzon, southern Luzon, the Visayas and northeastern part of Mindanao would be moderate to rough.
The surrounding sea conditions over the rest of Luzon, the Visayas, and of eastern Mindanao would be moderate to rough.
Slight to moderate water are expected over rest of Mindanao, according to the weather agency.
