Updates On Stranded Passengers, Vehicles Due To Samuel Issued By PCG
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has released the latest updates on stranded passengers and vehicles due to Tropical Depression Samuel.
Tropical Depression Samuel lashes some parts of the country with strong winds and scattered to widespread rains.
Samuel causes flash floods in several areas prompting several local government units to suspend the classes.
PAGASA also raised tropical cyclone warning signals in some regions after making a landfall in 6 areas in the Visayas.
The weather disturbance also causes inconvenience to hundreds of sea passengers who got stranded due to the inclement weather condition.
Recently, the Twitter page “PhilippineCoastGuard” reported the updates regarding the stuck passengers, vessels, and motorbancas due to Tropical Depression Samuel.
The PCG units are ordered to strictly implement the HPCG Memorandum Circular Number 02-13 giving the Guidelines on Movement of Vessels during Heavy Weather.
The report shows that about 432 passengers, 57 rolling cargoes, 19 vessels, and 23 motorbancas got stranded.
