Latest Updates On Samuel, Monitors New Storm ‘Man-Yi’ Released By PAGASA

PAGASA released the latest weather updates about Tropical Depression Samuel and continues to monitor another tropical storm ‘Man-yi’.

On Thursday (November 22, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued the newest updates regarding Tropical Depression Samuel.

The state weather bureau reported that Samuel was last located at 90 kilometers north-northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Storm ‘Man-Yi’

Samuel packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 65 kph moving 25 kph at a west direction.

The tropical depression had already hit 6 areas including Borongan City, Eastern Samar; Daram, Samar; Caibiran, Biliran; Calubian, Leyte; Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo; and Roxas, Palawan.

PAGASA also warned the residents of Palawan including the Calamian Group of islands to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides as signal no.1 remains.

Storm ‘Man-Yi’

 

Meanwhile, PAGASA was monitoring another tropical storm with an international name ‘Man’yi’ outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Tropical Storm Man-yi packing maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 105 kph was last spotted at 2,460 kilometers east of Mindanao.

The weather agency said that Man-yi could still intensify into a severe tropical storm and would be locally named ‘Tomas’ if it enters PAR.
