Katarina Rodriguez speaks up about Miss Earth harassment issue
Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez revealed her thoughts regarding the harassment issue in Miss Earth.
The delegates from Canada, England and Guam exposed on social media that they were allegedly harassed by Amado S. Cruz.
Miss Earth organization, through Carousel Productions Vice President Lorraine Schuck released their side of the story.
During the send off party for Katarina Rodriguez before she went to Sanya, China for the Miss World 2018 competition on December 8, she was also asked about this issue.

For the Pinay beauty queen, it is a commendable trait for a woman to come out bravely.
“I’d like to say na sana na lang that whoever speaks up… I completely commend them for speaking up, kasi medyo mahirap iyan,” she said during an interview with PEP.
She also said that if the harassment really happened, it is a scary thing to handle.
“And the second thing—believing what they’re saying is true—it’s scary… it’s a scary thing to go through. I would not wanna go through that,” Katarina Rodriguez said.

The Miss World Philippines 2018 also addressed those who harassed other people. She said that they should think the consequence of their act. Katarina also pointed out that respect for all the people should be kept in mind always.
When asked about those who are not believing the complainants, she said this: “Exactly. People might not believe them. It’s like the boy who cried wolf. Baka it’s from cases before, scenarios before.”
She also stressed out that one should be smart in tackling this kind of issue in order to get the justice or whatever the end goal is, based on the article.
