RICO J. PUNO MESSAGE – The late OPM legend Rico J. Puno message for Kapamilya actor John Lloyd Cruz before passing away.

A sad news has hit the headline reports recently over the sudden passing away of the OPM Legend “Macho Gwapito” Rico J. Puno. He died at the age of 65 and the cause of his death is due to abdominal aortic illness.

The former Ang Probinsyano actor’s death brought grief to his fellow OPM singers. Famous celebrities such as Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, Broadway Diva Lea Salonga, and among other popular personalities paid homage.

His daughter Tosca Puno penned a heartfelt message for him to where she stated, “Papa salamat po sa lahat! Mahal na mahal po kita! You were a great provider and a great & sweet father! Thank you for staying strong just to be with us and spend time with us longer. The best po ang mga bondings natin! Ma-mimiss po kita!”

Naranasan ko na rin noon ang ganyan. Sometimes you need a break din. Saka may sariling pamilya na siya, may anak na sila ni Ellen Adarna. So siguro nga, masaya na siya sa ganoong buhay. Kaming mga naging kaibigan niya, lalo na ako kasi naging very close ako sa kanya, hindi niya sana kami binibitawan. Nandito naman kami para suportahan siya sa gusto niyang mangyari sa buhay niya. We’re not here to judge him for his actions kasi mga kaibigan niya kami. Kung ano ang nangyayari kay John Lloyd ngayon, we only wish him happiness.
