Who decided the transfer of Regine Velasquez from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN network?
REGINE VELASQUEZ – The Philippines’ Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez clarified who decided her transfer from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN network.
Undeniably, the transfer of Ogie Alcasid‘s wife Regine Velasquez from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN network is one of those celebrity network switches that surprised many people.
For twenty years, the actress-singer’s a Kapuso. She has worked on several shows of the GMA-7 network and one of her recent projects as a Kapuso is the singing competition show The Clash.
Regine Velasquez has already signed an official contract with the ABS-CBN network. Lots of Kapamilya stars have given her a warm welcome. She is set to join ASAP in Sydney, Australia.

However, undeniably, there were speculations that Kapamilya actor-singer Ogie Alcasid convinced Regine Velasquez to transfer to ABS-CBN.

Previously, Ogie has already put down the allegations stressing that his wife is intelligent to decide for herself.
Based on a recent report on Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (PUSH), at the contract signing, Regine Velasquez defended her husband from speculations.
According to the Kapuso-turned-Kapamilya singer, it’s really her idea and decision to transfer to ABS-CBN network and not Ogie Alcasid’s. She admitted that she asked a help from him to set-up a meeting with the Kapamilya bosses.
“It was really me who decided. Tsaka if you know me like my husband knows who I am, you know na gagawin ko kung ano ang gusto ko,” she said.
Based on the report, Regine Velasquez expressed that she is very happy, excited, and overwhelmed. Her first appearance as a Kapamilya will be on an ASAP show in Sydney, Australia.

According to Regine, she still has communication with her Kapuso friends and they are supportive of her decision. She stressed that she has nothing but gratitude to GMA-7 who took care of her for 20 years.
