2019 Mid-Term Election: Presidential Son Baste Duterte Files Candidacy
BASTE DUTERTE – Presidential Son Baste Duterte filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for the 2019 Mid-Term Elections.
Recently, several known personalities in the field of politics and show business have filed their COCs for the upcoming 2019 Elections. Some were running for a seat in the Senate or in the Congress while others take a bid for a local government post.
Among those who have already filed their COCs is presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte. She is seeking reelection. Her brother, Paolo Duterte, is running for Davao City 1st District Representative in the next election.
Recently, based on a report on Inquirer, another Duterte has filed his candidacy for the 2019 Mid-term Elections.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte‘s youngest son, Sebastian Duterte or more popularly known as Baste Duterte, filed his candidacy for Davao City vice mayor post. He is the running mate of his elder sister Mayor Inday Sara.
Paolo, Mayor Inday Sara, and Baste are children of the Pres. Duterte with his former wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman.
Previously, the youngest son of the President has expressed less interest to politics but assured that he will be into it if his service is needed.
According to the report, Baste Duterte will be running under “Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP)”, the regional party of his sister.
Mayor Inday Sara Duterte expressed that the people can expect the kind of leadership that Pres. Duterte has taught them.
“Listen to the people, listen to and address their needs,” the Davao City Mayor said.
Based on the report, Mayor Inday Sara Duterte accompanied Baste Duterte during his filing of candidacy for Davao City Vice Mayor post in the 2019 Elections.
On social media, UNTV News and Rescue posted a photo of the Duterte siblings taken during Baste Duterte’s filing of candidacy.
