President Duterte Confesses Drinking Habits Despite Being Warned By Doctors
PRESIDENT DUTERTE – The Philippine President, Rodrigo Duterte, confessed his drinking habit despite being warned by his doctors.
Following the recent report, Duterte’s colonoscopy and endoscopy medical exam resulted “negative”. He stressed that information during his Cabinet meeting.
It’s been almost a week since he undergone the tests regarding the growth of his digestive tract. The President is cancer free and, reportedly, there’s nothing wrong with his colon.
Based on the report from GMA, last Tuesday, President Duterte admitted that he has a “badly eroded” esophagus. He went back to his old habit after being told to stop drinking alcohol years ago.
According to Mayo Clinic, Barrett’s esophagus is affiliated to increase the risk of developing esophageal cancer.
“It’s not the colon, it’s my Barett. It’s badly eroded I was told to stop drinking years ago. But of late, bumalik kasi ako,” he said.
“I don’t know. For one reason or another, I just like to drink. Brandy boy ako, e. Before I sleep, even when I’m alone, nagti-three shots ako,” Pres. Duterte added.
President Duterte expressed positiveness regarding his health. He even invited journalists for a round of drinks.
“Puede tayo mag-inuman ngayon. Totoo. I can give you a run for your money,” the President said.
He suggested them to not believe in doctors because we are all just going to die anyway or another.
Based on the report, he said he’s just following his family’s urge to go see a doctor and have a checkup. If it was just for him to decide, he said he won’t do it.
“Mabuhay lang ako hanggang mamatay, okay na sa akin ‘yan,” he said.
It is a good thing that the President is being transparent to the public regarding his health condition.
