INFLATION – Malacañang spoke on the draft executive order being done to address the inflation in the Philippines.

Undeniably, many Filipino people are worried about the rapid inflation in the country. Lots of people claim that their household budget and even personal budget no longer fits their needs and the bills to be paid.

Yesterday, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte spoke on a televised one-on-one talk with Attorney Salvador Panelo. Prior to it, detailed Senator Leila de Lima said in a statement that he should talk about the economy of the country.

Many Filipino people also expressed their hope that Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte would talk about the inflation. The President did in his one-on-one talk with his legal counsel.

According to Pres. Duterte, the economic managers are working on to address the inflation of the country. He also shared that they will have a Cabinet meeting after the one-on-one talk and it will give him the chance to ask questions.

The 73-year-old President stressed that the economy of a country cannot always be in a good state. Meanwhile, a draft executive order is being worked on to address inflation according to Malacañang.

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque expressed that the draft seeks to take away the “administrative constraints and non-tariff barriers”.

Furthermore, the presidential spokesperson also revealed that the economic managers submitted proposals on curbing the inflation during the Cabinet meeting held yesterday.

Based on the report, the proposals to address inflation include the import’s streamlining and the promotion of the crops. It also includes the streamlining of the basic food products’ releasing to the markets.
