Class Suspensions On September 17-21 In This Area
The Administrative Order (AO) No. 128 declared class suspensions from September 17 to 21, 2018 in Baguio City due to Batang Pinoy sports event.
On September 6, 201, AO No. 128 declared the suspension of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) from preschool to senior high school in Baguio City for the week-long sports competition hosted by the city and the municipality of La Trinidad, Benguet.
The class cancellation has been issued to ensure the optimum participation of the residents in the particular sports event.
About 700 athletes from Baguio will play and represent the city in 28 sports events aside from other players from different places in the country.
Delegates from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will use the public schools of the city as their temporary quarters.
Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan said that the officials of the Department of Education (DepEd) has permitted the city government for the issuance of the order.
“DepEd will make the necessary adjustments to the school calendar to allow the schoolchildren to cope with the suspension of cl(–foul word(s) removed–),” Domogan said quoted by Manila Bulletin.
Baguio was expecting about 7,000 athletes and sports officials from various parts of the country for the sports event.
