Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV is currently under the custody of the Senate. It followed President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issuing a proclamation revoking his amnesty grant.

The said amnesty was granted by former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III to the Senator in 2011. The Department of Justice and the AFP were previously ordered to pursue the cases against the Senator.

As for him, he is not afraid of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He stressed that no evidence can be found against him.

According to AFP chief of staff Gen. Carlito Galvez, he has commissioned the General Court Martial that will continue hearing Sen. Trillanes’ case. However, he also stressed the side of Pres. Duterte.

“With the recent pronouncement of the Chief Executive, GCM proceedings will be held in abeyance until the SC has ruled,” Galvez said.

Based on the report, the AFP chief of staff also expressed that the military will not anymore speak on the case. All his men were also ordered to shy away from politics. Involvement may result in being relieved from the post.
