Why is Kris Aquino not on the group photo of the casts?
KRIS AQUINO – The “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino answers question why she was not seen in the group photo of “Crazy Rich Asians” casts during red carpet premiere.
Kevin Kwan’s best-selling novel “Crazy Rich Asians” starred our country’s “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino portraying the character of Malay Princess Intan.
The Australian actor Chris Pang, her fellow cast in the said Hollywood film, even tagged her as the “real crazy rich Asian”.
For the red carpet premiere, she wore a yellow Filipiniana gown from Michael Leyva as she walked with son Bimby.
The film is directed by Jon Chu which is the first major American studio release since 1993’s The Joy Luck Club predominantly featuring Asian and Asian-American casts with performers coming from Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, and beyond.
But recently, a netizen has wondered why she was not there on the group photo of the casts during the premiere.
To which she replied, “[Because] nahiya naman akong umepal & it was so nice to chat with family of Mr. Emmerich & the rest of the Filipinos inside.”
