PAGASA Announces Parts Of PH Would Be Affected Scattered Rains Due To Southwest Monsoon
The state weather bureau PAGASA said that the southwest monsoon was expected to bring scattered rains over some parts of the country.
On Monday (July 30, 2018), The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather update affecting the country’s weather system.
PAGASA reported that Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), Palawan and Mindoro provinces would experience scattered rains due to the southwest monsoon.
On Sunday (July 29, 2018), a new cluster of clouds was spotted over the Pacific Ocean but not expected to turn into a low-pressure area.
However, PAGASA weather forecaster Meno Mendoza warned the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides on sudden downpour in low-lying and mountainous areas.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over the rest of the country.
On this month of July, about four tropical cyclones have entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), which affects the country’s weather condition over the past few weeks.
