Netizens urge President Duterte to review the Chiong sisters case.

CHIONG SISTERS CASE – The netizens were united to sign an online petition which urges President Duterte and the Supreme Court to reopen the controversial case of the Chiong sisters.

An online petition had been raised following hanging conclusions have emerged after a film about the controversial case of the Chiong sisters has premiered.

Chiong sisters case, Marijoy and Jacqueline, have awakened something from the past after their deaths and the disappearance of Jacqueline’s body until now.

Based on a previous article, there had been some speculations the Chiong sisters are alive living in Canada while leaving the country and the people in a daze and total confusion about the case.

Jack Logan, in a Facebook post, even shared that the Chiong sisters case was even tagged as “Trial of the Century”.

And now, with the puzzling thoughts about the controversial case of Jacqueline and Marijoy, a documentary made years ago has made which pinpoints the innocence of Paco, one of the Chiong 7, who spent more than 2 decades of his life in prison after charged guilty of the crime.

With the movie that has just recently taken out in cinemas, tension has been built between the case of the Chiong ladies and the rooted innocence of Paco Larranaga.

According to a report from Phil Star, the netizens got united for an online petition on Change.org, to review and reopen the mysterious case of Chiong sisters which included gang-rape, murder, and kidnapping.

“There are 3 sides to every story and in this case: The Chiong sisters, The Chiong Seven, and the TRUTH. Let the witnesses be heard! Review/Reopen the case!” the petition’s description accordingly read.

It was just initially calling for 25,000 signatures but it has now reached to 75,000.

Here are some of the reasons of the netizens for signing the petition:

I am signing this petition because I know that justice system in the Philippines then was not fair. Punishment was laid without intensive investigation and disregarded firm evidences

Justice needs to be served rightfully.

Reopen the case, fair trial must be served.

I’m signing because I believe Paco and his family has right to be heard. And there is so many irregularity in his case.
