JOEL MENDEZ – The cosmetic surgeon and celebrity doctor Joel Mendez accused of malicious act arrested by the Mandaluyong City Police following a couple of years hiding.
Joel Mendez, a celebrity doctor and a cosmetic surgeon owning several beauty clinics, was recently accused of two counts of rape and attempted rape.
In a previous report, the beauty doctor also got arrested for violating the Section 22-A (Remittance of Contributions of Self‐employed Members) of the Republic Act 8282 or the SSS Law.
And now, he is facing charges over malicious complaints arrested by the authorities after hiding for reportedly 2 years.
Based on a report from the ABS-CBN, he was nabbed at the at the basement parking of a condominium in Mandaluyong City in a joint operative from the Mandaluyong Intelligence Unit, Tactical Motorcycle Riders, Women and Children’s Police Desk and Mobile Patrol Unit.
The warrant against Mendez has been issued in 2016 which is two years ago already by the Mandaluyong City Regional Trial Court Branch 214 Judge Imelda Portes-Saulog.
He got detained but was then released after posting bail.
Moreover, as per the article published, he harassed a 17-year-old then, just days before her debut, according to a confession of the victim’s relative.
The said incident left the victim “traumatized and angry”.
“Talagang pinush namin na wag siyang mag-focus dun, wag siyang ma-trap dun sa nangyari, mag-move on siya, which is nakatulong naman nang malaki,” she said.
And the second victim was 20 years old and a college graduate.
“Nag-freak out na naman siya, parang naalala na naman yung dati. Nakaka-sad, pero nakakatuwa din dahil nahuli na siya,” the mother of the 2nd victim has said in the report.
