Bagyong Gardo Enters PAR, Latest Track Shown

Here is the latest update and track of Bagyong Gardo with an international name of Typhoon ‘Maria’ as it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

On Monday (July 09, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Typhoon Gardo has already entered PAR.

Gardo intensified after entering PAR enhancing the southwest monsoon that would bring inclement weather in different areas in the country.

The weather disturbance is packing maximum sustained winds of 200 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 245 kph moving 30 kph at west-northwest direction.

However, Typhoon Maria is not expected to make a landfall but it strengthens the southwest monsoon affecting the weather condition over Luzon and Visayas.

The Facebook page “Super Radyo DZBB 594khz” has posted the photo of Typhoon Gardo’s track after entering it was last spotted at 1,325 km east of Basco, Batanes.

The photo shows the path of the typhoon revealing that it was expected to leave the Philippines by July 12, 2018.
