Is Kris Aquino planning to run for a seat in the Senate?

It is no secret to the public that actress Kris Aquino is coming from a family of politicians that is why some people are curious if she also has the plan to enter the political arena. She has made a name in the Philippine entertainment industry as an actress and talk show host.
Kris, who was recently hooked on an issue with Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson as the actress defends her late parents based on a report, is the daughter of former Philippine President Corazon ‘Cory’ Aquino and Senator Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino Jr.
Former Pres. Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III is Kris Aquino’s older brother and Sen. Paolo Benigno ‘Bam’ Aquino IV is her cousin. Is the actress also planning to run for a seat in the Senate?
Based on a report in PhilStar, through the social media, Kris Aquino has recently revealed her side on the possibility that she take a Senate run. According to her, she has contracts that keep her from running for an elected office. Meanwhile, she raised that maybe her voice matters and the people “need a voice”.
The actress-talk show host expressed that she will “pray” about it and what is best for her to do. She also expressed her side on the idea of not seeking for a position in the government.
“Maybe it’s better if I don’t ask for a position, for me not to become an elected official for you to continue listening to me. Because if I become part of the Senate, you will say that I have become just like them,” she said.
According to the report, Kris Aquino stressed that she and her supporters are currently equal with regards to having experienced being disrespected.
The youngest daughter of former Pres. Cory Aquino was recently hooked on an issue with ASec Mocha Uson. The actress defended her parents following Uson posting against her late father on social media to defend Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial kiss with a Pinay worker abroad.
The President and his Special Assistant Christopher Go have already expressed their apologies to Kris Aquino.
