Is Kris Aquino just an extra in “Crazy Rich Asian” film?
KRIS AQUINO – The “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino answers the netizen who asked about her role and appearance in the film “Crazy Rich Asians”.
According to a previous article, it was last year when Kris Aquino has confirmed that she landed a role in the film adaptation of the best-selling book of Kevin Kwan, “Crazy Rich Asians”.
The upcoming Hollywood film is managed by American studio outfit Warner Brothers.
She is reportedly playing the role of a Brunei or Malaysian princess which she considered to be a great blessing after the rejection she had experienced previously.
Warner Brothers’ announced that all-Asian cast including Michelle Yeoh, Henry Golding, Constance Wu, Chris Pang, Sonoya Mizuno, Gemma Chan and Awkwafina.
The film will be entirely shot in Singapore and Malaysia.
With so much anticipation, the people are curious to know about the appearance and the confirmed role of Kris in the film.
And recently, in an Instagram post, she shared a clip showing a wall of portraits of the characters and she covered hers with a heart emoji.
This has then become a subject of speculation.
In the comment section, one follower has directly asked the actress, “Napanood ko trailer, pero di kita nakita? Extra ka lang ba dun?! I thought you’re one of the main characters.”

As a response to the comment, Kris answered, “As recently as Friday I said I’m there for 5 minutes, but I do portray a [princess]. Dude, I’m part of a Warner Brothers history-making movie because it’s the first non-period, all Asian, big Hollywood multi-million production. #proudtorepresentphilippines”
