It is no secret to the public that blockbuster director Cathy Molina is now down to her last movies before she would retire from the field of film directing. Based on a report, one of the last movies of the filmmaker is My Perfect You which is currently showing in theaters.
The said romantic comedy movie is starred by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson. The filmmaker has nothing but praises and admiration for the two celebrities.
Many are undeniably sad over the approaching retirement of Direk Cathy Molina as she is one of the finest directors in the Philippine showbiz industry. Meanwhile, the people understand her reason which is to give time to her children.
Based on a recent report in Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (PUSH), during her appearance on ABS-CBN’s evening program Tonight With Boy Abunda, Direk Cathy Molina revealed details about her life as a single parent.
It was in 2009 when the filmmaker’s late husband, Engineer Philip Rey ‘Epoy’ Molina, passed away after a bad fall during a mountain bike tournament.
Direk Cathy Molina expressed that being a single mother was hard for her considering the kind of life that she wants to give to her children and the kind of school that she wants to send them to. According to her, she needed to earn more and she cannot leave her job.
Based on the report, the blockbuster director admitted that she already planned of retiring long ago. According to her, everytime she makes people happy because of the films she made, she knows that there are two children who are not happy because she’s not with them.
“Especially after my husband left, parang ako na lang ang meron sila, hindi pa ako makapag-stay with them,” she expressed.
Direk Cathy admitted that something happened to her child recently which urged her to resign from her work. She shared that also currently have a boyfriend who supports her decision and is willing to work for her and her children.
“E ang dream ko di ba Tito Boy maging mother and maging housewife, which I have never realized. I’m hoping to realize that dream,” she said based on the report.
Direk Cathy Molina will be doing four more films before she finally leaves the field of film directing. Two of her last films is a movie with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla and a promised movie with Piolo Pascual.
