List Of Areas Covered By Class Suspensions On Wednesday (February 14)

Here is the list of areas covered by the class suspensions on Wednesday (February 14, 2018) due to the bad weather brought by Bagyong Basyang.

Several local government units (LGUs) have declared class suspension in different areas in the country due to the inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm Sanba.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) raised the tropical cyclone warning signals on areas that would be affected by the weather disturbance.

Class Suspensions

The state weather bureau also reported that Basyang slightly slowed down with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 65 kph moving West at 26 kph.

The cl(–foul word(s) removed–) have been also suspended by several LGUs in some parts of the country due to Tropical Storm Basyang:

  • Cebu City – All Levels Both Public and Private Schools
  • Cebu Province – All Levels Both Public and Private Schools
  • Puerto Princesa City – Pre-School to High School Both Public and Private Schools
  • Tacloban City – All Levels Both Public and Private Schools

In the next 24 hours, Palawan and Visayas are expected to experience scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains. While Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi would have scattered light to moderate and occasional heavy rains.

The weather disturbance is expected to leave the country by Friday (February 16, 2018), according to PAGASA.
