List Of Areas Covered By Class Suspensions On Monday (February 12)

Here is the list of areas covered by the class suspensions announce by several local government units due to Bagyong Basyang.

On Monday (February 12, 2018), several Local Government Units (LGUs) suspend the cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in some parts of the country due to the bad weather brought by the Tropical Storm Sanba.

Tropical Storm Sanba or locally known as Bagyong Basyang bring scattered to widespread heavy rains over Eastern Visayas and Mindanao, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Class Suspensions

A tropical storm warning signal No. 1 was raised over the areas of Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental due to Bagyong Basyang.

The inclement weather condition has prompted several LGU’s to suspend cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in the storm-affected areas.

  • Surigao del Norte – Preschool to Elementary (Public and Private)

DepEd’s guideline on automatic class suspension was used by different LGU on declaring suspensions of cl(–foul word(s) removed–).

  • Signal No 1 – No Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in Kindergarten
  • Signal No. 2 – No Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in Kindergarten, Elementary, and High School
  • Signal No. 3 – No Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in All Levels

Bagyong Basyang has current maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 80 kph moving West Northwest at 27 kph.

The weather disturbance is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Friday (February 16, 2018).
