Lea Salonga reacts to commotions in social media.
LEA SALONGA – The Pinoy Pride Lea Salonga wonders why people made a bigger fuss over Mocha’s “Mayon In Naga” than the controversy regarding Dengvaxia.
In a previous article, the Broadway diva Lea Salonga reacted to the gaffe involving Mocha Uson saying that the Mayon is in Naga after returning Thomasian award due to criticisms received.
She has indicated that instead of people giving more attention to serious cases to which she cited the Mayon in Naga as an example, they seemingly observe more to her award.
Lea’s reaction is, “With all due respect, we can’t change geography. That is all.”
However, later on, the PCOO Assistant Secretary admitted that she made a mistake after receiving negative remarks and comments from the people of the online platform.
Thus, still with regards to the issue, the Broadway diva has just noticed that the people were making a bigger commotion about the Mayon Volcano in Naga gaffe than the serious matter about the death of several children after injected by Dengvaxia.
On Twitter, along with lauding Mocha Uson for admitting her fault, she indicated, “I laud her for admitting the mistake. That takes humility to do. As for dengvaxia, speaking as a parent, I am enraged that it happened. I’m surprised the outrage isn’t bigger given how many children have been endangered.”

To which was commented by a netizen saying, “The real outrage on Dengvaxia is extreme. We just can’t hear it here in social media. Those parents don’t have much time goofing around in Twitter.”
Another also stated in the comment box, “come on now, those parents are poor and cant afford or don’t know how to do this social media cry, they rely on this traditional media asking for justice for their dead children. Some people are shallow, they prefer to make fun of @MochaUson as national issue than DENGVAXIA.
