MPD Shows Black Nazarene’s Procession Route For January 9

The Manila Police District has shown the Black Nazarene’s procession route, which will be held on January 09, 2018 (Tuesday).

The feast of the Black Nazarene is one of the most popular events in the Philippines, which is held every January 9 of the year along the streets of Quiapo.

There more than 12 million devotees who were patiently attending the annual event just to see or even touch the wooden image. Aside from ordinary Filipinos, celebrities and hi-profile personalities were also participating the event.

Over the past few years, the route for the procession of the Black Nazarene has been re-routed because of rising case of accidents and for the convenience of the attendees.

Recently, the Twitter page of ABS-CBN has posted the Black Nazarene’s procession route released by the Manila Police District.

On January 9, the Traslacion of the Black Nazarene is expected to leave the Luneta Grandstand around 6 am in the morning and would bring back the wooden image at Quiapo Church 12 hours after the procession.

Black Nazarene’s Traslacion this year will take the westbound lane of P. Burgos instead of the eastbound lane of P. Burgos and Lagusnilad.
