WALK OF FAME – Here are the latest Pinoy celebrities who just recently got their names written on the Walk of Fame in Eastwood City.
Eastwood City Walk Of Fame or the Walk Of Fame Philippines is a concept similar and patterned to that from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
It is located at the Eastwood in Quezon City and was founded on December 1, 2005.
Mr. Showman himself, German Moreno, supported the project when it came to the point on the verge of failure to be launched.
The Walk of Fame is a project of the late German Moreno to which the expenses were from his own pocket.
Initially, there were no clarified criteria for the stars to be immortalized in the Philippine version of the Walk of Fame for they were handpicked by Tito Germs.
But this was changed when his son Federico Moreno took over as president and general manager.
The list of inductees, similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, is being selected into six categories: Movies, Television, News and Public Affairs, Radio, Music, and Theater.
As of November 2017, 343 names have been inducted into the Walk of Fame.
The names include actors, hosts, directors, writers and producers of movies, television and theater; singers, songwriters, and musicians; news anchors and reporters; radio personalities; athletes and notable achievers who had great contributions on their respective field.
And now, the latest celebrities and television personalities who just recently got included were Solenn Heussaff, Mateo Guidicelli, Kris Bernal, Empoy Marquez, Mother Lily, Jake Zyrus, Karen Davila, Anthony Taberna, and Atom Araullo.
Some of the people have criticized some of the artists who just got included lately but probably, these stars have proven their worth to have such prestigious entitlement.
