AEGIS JURIS FRATERNITY – Lots of netizens reacted to the photos posted online showing the chat conversation between the resident officers and the alumni of the Aegis Juris Fraternity.

The matters related to the death of Horacio ‘Atio’ Castillo III who’s a law student at the University of Santos Tomas are still under thorough investigation. Based on a report, a fatal hazing incident took the life of the law student.

According to a recent report, the Aegis Juris Fraternity appeared to have the objective to cover up the death of Atio. Manila Police District director Senior Superintendent Joel Coronel revealed the conversation of the fraternity members online on the day that the law student died.

Based on a report in GMA News, the exchange of messages which was presented by Senator Joel Villanueva on Wednesday during the Senate inquiry’s hearing seems to show about the plans of the fraternity members to make an arrangement with the parents of the victim and “clean” the venue.

According to the report, some of the alumni of the fraternity are already lawyers. The photos of the chat messages were posted on the Facebook page of GMA News and it gathered comments from netizens.

Netizen @Gomez stated in a comment that Atio died due to a mistake and stressed that covering it up is another mistake. The netizen raised a question to the lawyers of the Aegis Juris asking them if that is the kind of lawyer they are. He stated that they are not deserving of their profession.

In a comment to the post, netizen Alfie Torculas said that the bad side of the brotherhood is to cover up and force to keep the mistake. “Mga anay ng lipunan,” he wrote.

Netizen Brian Dumandan Valdez wrote in a comment that those people were considered as lawyers but they are the very firsts who violate the law.
