Walang Pasok: Here are the special non-working days and class suspensions for the month of October and November 2017.

WALANG PASOK – Here is the list of special non-working days and class suspension for the month of October and November 2017.

According to a previous report, the mayors of the Metro Manila has come to a decision of suspending the cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in all levels in Metro  Manila on November 16 and 17 due to the ASEAN Leaders’ Summit and Related Meetings.

This is to give way and consideration for the upcoming event, thus, the Metro Manila Council (MMC) reached the decision for the said event will be held in the country.

Danilo Lim, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) even said that it has been finalized during the 9th meeting of the MMC.

This event will be attended by ASEAN dialogue partners and leaders and senior officials from ASEAN member-states.

The event accordingly coincides with the ASEAN’s 50th founding anniversary.

Then there will be two special non-working days, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

This in relation to the observance of the  “Undas” on All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

October 31 (Tuesday) – Special non-working holiday (to give time to families to prepare for All Saints Day)

November 1 (Wednesday) – Special non-working holiday, All Saints Day

November 16 (Thursday) and November 17 (Friday) – For the ASEAN Summit

November 30 (Thursday) – Regular holiday, Bonifacio Day

The declaration of the holidays is in accordance with the Proclamation No. 50 of the Malacanang Palace which states, DECLARING THE REGULAR HOLIDAY ANS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAYS FOR THE YEAR 2017.”

According to the Section 1 of the Proclamation, here is the list of the Regular Holidays and Special No-Working days:
