Other countries want to copy Philippine’s anti-drug campaign.
The Philippine National Police Chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa said the anti-drug campaign of the Philippines wants to be copied by other countries.
A lot of deaths has been enlisted because of the present administration’s war on drugs campaign.
The said administration is under the leadership of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte of whom is also well-known as a firm believer of drugs as the root cause of all the criminalities of the country.
Together hand in hand with the president in this campaign is the chief of the Philippine National Police Ronald Dela Rosa.
And according to a report from the Inquirer, this campaign is wanted to be copied by other countries.
PNP Chief Bato even said during an ambush interview, “Humahanga sila, yung Interpol. Lahat ng kapulisan sa buong mundo humahanga sa ginagawa natin dito.”
Chief Bato is accordingly in Beijing for the previous week to attend the Interpol General Assembly.
He further stated, “Sabi nila, gusto nila kasi the problem is not only sa Pilipinas halos sa buong mundo. Gusto nilang kopyahin pero nahirapan sila.”
The data from the authorities showed that the policemen and officers have already conducted 70,854 anti-drug operations from July 1, 2016, to Aug. 29, 2017. A total of 107,156 drug personalities were arrested but 3,811 were killed in the operations.
This campaign ha by the president has resulted in the surrender and arrest of more than 1 million drug personalities and also one of the main factors for the dropping of crime incidents in the country.
However, due to the surfacing of the numerous death cases and extrajudicial killings, this has raised concerns in terms of human rights may it be local or international.
