President Duterte Reveals Creating Trillanes Alleged Offshore Bank Account To Misled The Lawmaker
President Rodrigo Duterte admitted that he only created the alleged offshore bank account of Sen. Antonio Trillanes to misled him.
Senator Trillanes becomes one of the most controversial politicians after several social media websites and pages exposed his alleged offshore bank accounts in different countries around the world just to hide his alleged ill-gotten wealth.
On Tuesday (September 19, 2017), the lawmaker flew to Singapore to visit a branch of DBS bank to debunk all the accusation of the president against him of owning bank accounts abroad. He was told by the teller in DBS that there’s no account number such as 178000296012 was existing.
Trillanes also looked for the HSBC in Raffles Blvd, but he only found an ATM there. He also visited the HSBC Singapore website and found no office there.
The president revealed that the alleged account number he released was only a product of his imagination by omitting some numbers from the bank account number given by Mocha and Erwin Tulfo.
President Duterte said that the lawmaker even used the fictitious bank number in his bank waiver, making it fake and unusable.
“Produkto ng isip ko to. Tinanggalan ko lang ginamit mo. Nag-issue ka ng waiver. Ang waiver mo iba ang account number iba ang totoo,” said by Duterte quoted by Philstar.
Mr. Duterte explained that banks would not issue any certification containing the information about their clients. He also said that Senator Trillanes was just fooling the Filipino people.
“Walang gumagawang bangko niyan. Mga Pilipino niloloko kayo ng isang tao na pinag-aral ninyo sa PMA,” added by Duterte.
Duterte also said that Trillanes was so desperate that he had to go to Singapore and spend a huge amount of cash for propaganda.
