Newest Miss World Philippines’ “Pearl Of The Orient” Crown Is Jaw-Dropping!

 Miss World organizers present the pageant’s new and jaw-dropping “Pearl of the Orient” crown.

MISS WORLD – The newest crown for the Miss World Philippines’ called “Pearl of the Orient” is jaw dropping as it got presented to the public on Thursday at New World Hotel in Makati City.

According to a report published by the GMA News, it was Megan Young, the Miss World 2013, who introduced the crown, the new, and the dashing “Pearl of the Orient” crown.

The presentation of the crown was led by the national director Arnold Vegafria and general manager Bessie Besana, on Thursday, August 31, at the New World Hotel in Makati City.

Megan Young said, “We’re part of the team that finalized the crown so I’m really happy with the [outcome]. I think it symbolizes the Philippines in such a beautiful way.”

Megan then further explained and described what the crown was made up of, she indicated, “The pearls are representing the Pearl of the Orient and the sapphires representing the seas around our country. We’re a country full of islands. Those  two specific traits of the crown really make it something different.”

Titleholders of the said beauty pageant who was also present during the event held on Thursday were: Gwendoline Ruais (2011), Queenie Rehmann (2012), Valerie Weigmann (2014), and Hillarie Parungao (2015).

The new “Pearl of the Orient” crown will be first worn by the beauty queen who will win this year’s Miss World Philippines.

The grand coronation night of the pageant will be held on Sunday, September 3, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Aside from the title of Miss World Philippines, contestants also have the chance to snatch the other prestigious titles such as Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2017, Miss Multinational 2017 and Miss Eco Philippines 2017.
