Korean Film Festival Is Here In Philippines Starting September 7!

Korean Film Festival in the Philippines begins September 7.

Five movies are set to be shown here in the Philipines as part of the Korean Film Festival which will start on September 7.

According to a report from the Manila Bulletin, the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines will be showing five Korean movies as they will conduct here a Korean Film Festival that will start on September 7.

The five films that will be included are  ‘Twenty,’ My Brilliant Life,’ ‘How to Steal a Dog,’ ‘The King of Jokgu’ and ‘Very Ordinary Couple’.

How To Steal A Dog’s film director, Kim Seong Ho, will also be present at the opening ceremony of the event and will also have a director’s talk at the UP Film Institute on Sept. 6 and Film Development Council of the Philippines on Sept. 8.

The film How To Steal A Dog has already snatched three awards at the 33rd Ale Kino! International Young Audience Film Festival in Poland.

The said film festival will run in different places, the list of its schedule are as follows: Davao from Sept. 14-17, Iloilo from Sept. 21-24, Cebu from Sept. 28 to Oct. 1, Pampanga from Oct. 5-8, and Cavite from Oct. 12-15.

It will run from September 7 until October 15.

Here the list of stars who starred in the said respective films:

“How to Steal a Dog” – Lee Re, Kim Hye-ja, Choi Min-soo, Lee Ji-won and Lee Chun-hee. This movie is about the 10-year-old Ji-so who saw a poster of a missing dog with $500 reward. The reward though, he believes, can buy her family a house.

“Twenty” – Kim Woo-bin, Kang Ha-neul and 2PM’s Lee Junho. It will go around the story of three best friends who just turned 20 and will have to decide what they should do with their lives.

“My Brilliant Life” – Song Hye-kyo and Kang Dong-won. The story will turn around the lives of a couple whose son was diagnosed of progeria.

“Very Ordinary Couple” – Lee Min-ki and Kim Min-hee. The story of a couple who broke up but decides to give their estranged relationship a second chance.

“The King of Jokgu” – Ahn Jae-Hong

All films have free admission and have English subtitles.
