The fisher folks of Surigao City caught a giant sea creature, which approximately weighing 130 kilograms and has a human-like size.

Recently, a giant grouper or popularly known as “Lapu-Lapu” here in the Philippines was caught by the fishermen in the city of Surigao. The giant sea creature was weighing almost 3 sacks of rice or 130 kilograms approximately.

Cesar Laon, the fishermen who caught the giant grouper can’t fetch the sea creature alone. So he asked his colleague to help him carry the huge sea creature on his small boat. He also said that it was the biggest fish that he ever saw.

The residents of Surigao City were also amazed by the size of the giant sea creature, which is almost big as a human.

Grouper is widely popular in different regions here in the country because of its delicious taste. It is also one of the most high-cost sea creatures that can be found on the market.

Previously, the appearance of strange and giant sea creatures in shallow waters have sparked fear and confusions to the public after the numerous sighting of oarfish in the country, which was followed by consecutive earthquakes.

Japanese Seismologist Kiyoshi Wadatsumi has said that oarfish and other deep-sea creatures have the ability to predict upcoming calamities because they can easily detect any irregular movement in the sea ground prompting them to go in shallow waters.
