Manny Pacquiao Helps Family Of Soldier Who Died Amid Firefight In Marawi

Senator Manny Pacquiao gets to help the family left by a soldier who died amid the war in Marawi.

MANNY PACQUIAO – The boxing legend and a Philippine Senator at the same time, Manny Pacquiao, helped the family of a soldier who died amid the intense firefight in Marawi City against the terror group Maute.

According to the post of Manny Pinol in his account in Facebook, the senator lent financial assistance as a help to the family of the scout ranger who died.

Manny Pinol is Filipino journalist, writer, agriculturist and politician who is the current Secretary of the Philippine Department of Agriculture.

On the fifth of June, he wrote a post on his social networking site the story of the Baldovino family where they lost their son and also lost the hope to get the farmland they sold for the education of Marlon Baldovino, the scout ranger that died, and his siblings.

The post was heart-breaking that instead welcoming home the alive Sgt. Baldovino, all that is left for the family is his dead body, material things he owns and the memories they shared while he was still alive.

As a welcome to the remains of Marlon, they prepared a tarpaulin for him saying, “Welcome Home Our Hero.”

And according to the post, the only wish of the late soldier is to ‘recover the mortgaged farm had vanished’.

And here goes the hero of boxing, Senator Manny Pacquiao. Of all people, he is one of them to understand the situation as he also grew up from a family who family was once on the line of poverty.

And an update was  then followed through another post, through the efforts of Mr. Pinol,  it reached the awareness of the senator and the senator said, accordingly, “Please tell them, they will not lose their farm. I will share with them the blessings that I received in my life.”

The family who already received the help was in sincerest and in deep gratitude to Pinol and most especially to Senator Pacquiao.

Finally, the promise of the ill-fated farmer’s son Sgt. Marlon Baldovino came true.
