Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy arrested and here are his mugshots that earned various comments.
Doomsday preacher Apollo Quiboloy surrenders after months of hiding and evading warrants. This also came following the violent encounters of the authorities and his supporters from the controversial Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) church in Davao City.
On Sunday, September 8, 2024, Quiboloy surrendered to the authorities after he was given an ultimatum and was presented as a detainee at the Camp Crame. His lawyer Ferdinand Topacio said he “voluntarily surrendered to the Armed Forces of the Philippines, specifically the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces, or ISAFP”.
Quiboloy was brought to the Philippine National Police (PNP) custodial facility in Camp Crame. He is facing abuse charges and qualified trafficking. He is also on the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation’s most-wanted list since 2022 due to several charges.
As of latest, his camp plans to file a petition seeking for him to be put under the custody of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) or under house arrest as he has a health condition and already 74 years old.
They stressed that he surrendered and was not arrested. He surrendered for the sake of his people and to put a stop on their sufferings.
His mugshots have been released, however, his face was edited to be blurred before it got released by the PNP PIO. This has caught attention online and many were wondering why his face was blurred.
The blurry face was intentional and it did not evaded the conspiracy theories of people. It might be his double or something. Moreover, when he was presented by the NBI, his face was covered with shades, a face mask, a scarf on the neck, and a cap.
