The road accident in UAE took the lives of four Pinoys.
ROAD ACCIDENT – Four Filipinos were killed in a road accident in United Arab Emirates and two people were left in critical condition.
Coming from Dubai, the six Filipinos were off to St. Joseph’s Church in Abu Dhabi for the Visita Iglesia which is part of a religious tradition based on a report in The Filipino Times.
The Pinoys’ rented vehicle stopped along the Al Shahama Highway and four of them stepped off to check the car. After a few minutes, an SUV hit their stationary vehicle from behind.
According to the report, the ramming led to the throwing off of the four people who stepped off the car and as well as the rented vehicle.
The passengers of the rented vehicle were identified as: 29-year-old Lord Christian Elli; 31-year-old Daniel Paulo Paulino Paraiso; 28-year-old Marvin Mendoza; 30-year-old Mary Ann Mendoza; and Anna Paula.
The driver of the stationary car that was hit by the SUV from behind was identified as Veronica Dulay, a 39-year-old administrative secretary.
In the photo taken before the road accident happened, the man on the left side of the driver is Marvin Mendoza. On the 2nd row, Paraiso (left) and Mary Ann Mendoza (Right) were seated. On the 3rd row, Anna Paula (left) and Elli (right) were seated.
According to Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes who cited the Abu Dhabi Police’s official report, Marvin Mendoza, Dulay, Paraiso, and Elli were the four who stepped off to check the car as revealed by the report.
The two survivors of the road accident, Mary Ann Mendoza and Anna Paula, were confined at the Al Rahba Hospital as they were left in critical condition by the incident.
The remains of Marvin Mendoza, Dulay, Paraiso, and Elli were at the Khalifa Hospital morgue. Based on the news report, the investigation regarding the incident is still ongoing.
According to the ‘immediate relatives,’ Marvin Mendoza, Dulay, Paraiso, and Elli passed away on the spot.
