Environmental lawyer Ingemar Macarine or known as Pinoy Aquaman swims the 24.65 stretch of Tañon Strait out of his advocacy.

Macarine breaks his own record on an open-water swimming out of his advocacy. He was entitled as “Pinoy Aquaman,” for being a Filipino long-distance swimmer to first swim across the Surigao Strait, which is known for turbulent currents and sightings of hammerhead sharks.

Pinoy Aquaman said that he never encountered sharks during open water swimming stints. Aside from being a swimmer, he is also an environmental lawyer and marathoner. The Pinoy Aquaman was born in Surigao and now based on Tubigon, Bohol as an environmental lawyer.

As an environmental lawyer, Macarine launches his advocacy for cleaner coastal areas and convincing the public to get registered for barangay elections.

The Filipino long distance swimmer has recently swum the 24.65 kilometer stretch of Tañon Strait from Siliman Beach in Dumaguete City heading to Brgy. Tambisan town of San, Juan in Siquijor. He swims the stretch out of his advocacy.

The Pinoy Aquaman earned praises and admirations from the netizens due to his great skill in swimming.
