The doctors of Shiryl Saturnino were not able to submit their statements over her death.
SHIRYL SATURNINO – The Eastern Police District (EPD) plans to lodge a complaint against the medical staff who operated the 29-year-old businesswoman who died after the cosmetic surgeries, Shiryl Saturnino.
Based on a recent news report in Inquirer, EDP director Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula expressed that the police plans to lodge a complaint against the medical staff who operated Saturnino after they were not able to give their statements over the death of the 29-year-old businesswoman.
The medical staff includes anesthesiologist Dr. Jose Cordero Mendiola, surgeon Dr. Samuel Eric Calderon Yapjuangco, and three nurses – Alvin Carl Genove, Audrey Michelle Santos, and Virgil Alec Ongleo.
The Police mulls filing obstruction of justice case according to the report.
According to Mandaluyong Police Chief Senior Supt. Joaquin Alva, the cosmetic clinic’s lawyers expressed that they would not give a statement without a complainant in the case.
The parents of the 29-year-old businesswoman are firm on pushing through the case against the medical staff according to the police.
Based on a previous news report, Saturnino underwent liposuction, butt, and breast surgeries at the Icon Clinic. The result of her autopsy revealed that the cause of Saturnino’s death was ‘multiple organ failure secondary to complications of cosmetic surgical procedures’.
The result of the pathology examination is still awaited by the authorities.
In an interview with GMA’s “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” the mother of the 29-year-old businesswoman, Shirley Saturnino, expressed that she has no idea that her daughter would go through the cosmetic procedures.
She cited that possibly the reason behind it is that it is in line with her business. It is not the first time of Shiryl to went through cosmetic surgeries.
Shirley expressed that there was also a time that her daughter went through nose enhancement and she was just told after the cosmetic surgery.
She said that she also questioned her daughter about it but she can’t do anything as it was already done.
Based on the video, the 29-year-old businesswoman is the 4th of five siblings and becoming a nurse was her dream. However, her mother said that she was not able to graduate as she got pregnant.
Shirley expressed that after giving birth to her daughter, Shiryl went to Malaysia together with her cousin. She worked abroad as a manager of a laundry shop to be able to provide her child’s needs and as well as to support their family.
According to Shirley, her daughter was the bread winner of the family and is kind, hardworking, and patient.
The grieving mother said that she never expected that she will get to the clinic with her daughter already dead.
