Shirley Saturnino spoke regarding the decision of her daughter to underwent cosmetic surgeries.
SHIRLEY SATURNINO – The mother of Shiryl Saturnino, the 29 year-old businesswoman who died after cosmetic surgeries, cited a possible reason why her daughter underwent the procedures.
The death of Shiryl Saturnino has sparked lots of news reports and elicited various reactions. Undeniably, lots of netizens have raised a question on why the 29-year-old businesswoman has to go through the cosmetic surgeries as she already has the looks.
Recently, GMA’s “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” interviewed the mother of Shiryl, Shirley Saturnino.
Based on the video posted by GMA Public Affairs on YouTube, Shirley has no idea that her daughter has plans of going through cosmetic surgeries.
According to the grieving mom, she did not expect that she will arrive in the clinic with her daughter already dead. She explained that probably it is because of her daughter’s line of work or business that she underwent cosmetic surgery procedures.
Shirley said that when her daughter had her nose enhanced, she was also not informed about it and was only called to pick them up. She added that she raised a question to her daughter on why she has to have her nose enhanced.
“Eh wala na rin akong magawa Ma’am dahil tapos na eh, uwi kami sa bahay,” Shirley said.

Based on the video, Shiryl is the 4th of five siblings and she dreams of becoming a nurse. However, according to her mom, she was not able to graduate as she got pregnant.
Shirley shared that Shiryl went to Malaysia after she gave birth to her daughter together with her cousin. She worked abroad to provide the needs of her child and her family by managing a laundry shop.
Her mom describes her as hardworking, kind, patient, and the “bread winner” of the family.
Based on a previous news report, Shiryl Saturnino died after she underwent three cosmetic surgery procedures, liposuction, breast, and butt surgeries.
The result of her autopsy revealed that ‘multiple organ failure secondary to complications of cosmetic surgical procedures’ is the cause of her death.
Reportedly, investigations are ongoing and the result of the pathology examination is still awaited.
