Netizen Anica Espinosa expressed her gratitude to a Grab driver.
ANICA ESPINOSA – Through a social media post, netizen Anica Espinosa expressed her gratitude to a Grab driver who helped her get to her dying son faster.
Based on a post in the Facebook account of Anica Velarde Espinosa, the Almighty had sent her somebody during the time when her son was dying in a hospital.
In a post, she shared everything that happened. According to her, she just arrived home when the one who is taking care of her son, Sean, called and told her that her child’s respiratory rate is already down to 11.
She stated that she hurriedly booked a Grab car. Based on the photo posted by the netizen, the Grab driver is Grape Rufon Fernandez.
She cried while she was riding on the car and she even told the driver that her son is critical in the hospital. She stated that she kept on making phone calls to know if there is still a chance that she will make it to the hospital with her son still alive.
“At kung hindi ko na maaabutan, paki-video na lang sana ang huling hininga nya para sakin,” Espinosa stated.
[If I can’t make it, take a video of his last breath for me.]
Based on the post, Sean’s respiratory rate was already down to 5 during that time. There is still a chance that she can make it to the hospital with her son still alive if the travel won’t exceed 45 minutes.
According to Espinosa, the driver heard the conversation over the phone and she felt that he wanted to take her faster to the hospital. He drove the vehicle fast and he kept on honking the horn to signal that it is emergency.
The netizen stated that in 32 minutes, they already reached the hospital. She handed P1,000 to the driver but he refused it.
“Mam, lakasan nyo lang po ang loob nyo at ok na ako,” the driver told her according to the netizen.
[Ma’am, just strengthen yourself and I will be fine.]
Espinosa stated in her post that she rushed to the Intensive Care Unit and was able to be with her son on the last moment that he is still alive.
The netizen expressed her thanks to the driver through the post and her hope that it will reach him. She said that she will never forget the last moment with her son and as well as the driver.
Espinosa expressed her hope that more people will be like the Grab driver that he encountered and that he will blessed by God.
In another recent post of Espinosa, the netizen stated that she was able to meet the driver again as he visited the wake of Sean. She expressed her thanks to God as she found what she has been looking for and as well as the netizens for sharing her post.
