8 lady cadets dominated the Top 10 of PMA Class 2017.
Eight out of the top 10 graduating batch of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) class of 2017 are females, dominating their male counterparts.
Among 167 members of Sangalang ay Lakas at Buhay para sa Kalayaan Ng Inang Bayan (SALAKNIB), Rovi Valino Martinez of Cabanatuan City, north of Manila ranked first among 167 of PMA class 2017.
Seven other female cadets are also in the top 10.

CIC Catherine Mar Gonzales of Zamboaga City
Only two male cadets made it to the top 10.
CIC Philip Modestano Vizcaya of Ligao City, Albay
CIC Carlo Emmanuel Manalansan Canlas of Lubao, Pampanga.
According to the report of Dailystarph, President Rodrigo Duterte will be the guest speaker at the PMA graduation.
Martinez will receive Philippines Navy Saber, The Academic Group Award, Plaque for Social Sciences, Navy Professional Courses and the Presidential Saber from President Rodrigo Duterte.
She will also receive the special awards from the Spanish Armed Forces and the Australian Defense Forces, as well as the JUSWAG award from the U.S government.
According to Lt-Gen Donato San Juan II, Martinez is the fourth class since the academy graduated the seven female cadets in 1997.
Out of the 167 graduates of this year’s Philippine Military Academy (PMA) SALAKNIB class of 2017, 63 are females, the largest number since women were accepted in the military academy in Baguio City.
According to the report, Martinez and Top 3 Marapao, both will be deployed to the Philippine navy while top two Cadet Modest will join the Philippine army.
