PNP Chief Bato just shared that Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte told them to be prepared.

“Just be ready, ready get set go. Ready. We will be informed if we will go back to the war on drugs. We will be informed in due time. Hintay-hintay lang tayo [Let’s just wait],” said the PNP Chief based on the news report.

The PNP Chief also expressed the desire to surprise the opponents on the war against illegal drugs: “Hinay lang. Gusto nating surpresahin yung mga kalaban [Just wait. We wanted to surprise the opponents].”

Based on a previous news report, the move to suspend the war on drugs campaign came after the decision to clean the national police after lots of issues allegedly involving some policemen crossed the surface.

Reportedly, two of the issues allegedly involving some police authorities are the supposed kidnapping and killing of Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo and the extortion of money from Korean golfers residing in Angeles City.

In the case of the Korean golfers who were robbed at the place where they are staying while they are here in the country, the PNP Chief chided seven policemen who were allegedly involved.

Reportedly, in front of the camera, PNP Chief Bato ordered the seven policemen to do a push-up. He also slammed them for the act that they have allegedly done to foreigners.

Meanwhile, Sen. Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan has commented on the push-up order of the PNP Chief through his social media account.

“Push-ups ang ipinakitang kaparusahan sa pitong akusadong pulis sa kasong robbery at extortion ng mga Koreano sa Angeles. Robbery at extortion ang kaso,” the Senator expressed.
