The street kid, also known as Batang Hamog, along JP Rizal Extension went viral after caught on camera throwing stones at passengers who refused to give them money
A group of street kids, locally known as “batang hamog” are normal characters along the streets of Metro Manila but in an occasion, they were caught on video throwing stones at passengers who refused to give them money.
In a video uploaded in the official Facebook account of the Philippines CCTV and DASH CAM Spotted, a street kid could be seen hanging at the footstep on the tail of a jeepney, begging for money from jeepney passengers.
It was captioned: “Ingat nangbabato sila pag hindi mo sila binigyan ng pera (take caution, they throw stone if not given money), this happen [happened] along J.P Rizal ext around 4:30pm yesterday, you’ll see this kid holding a rock attempting to throw it inside the jeepney, the kid made this act when the passengers inside the jeep refuses to give him money. Please aware proper authorities!”

At first, the street kid was just acting casually, asking for money but as the video ran, the boy could be seen holding what seemed to be a stone or a crack of cement or a parcel of a hollow block.
At an instance, the street kid seemed to be pissed off for not getting anything from jeepney passengers after minutes of begging.
After a while, the boy was throwing his arms to the air, which seemed to be a warning to the passengers what he would do if they continue to refuse to give him money.
But the passengers did not seem to be threatened and seconds later, the street kid had enough and threw a big stone to the passengers, who were not captured on video if hit or not.

The street kids did not stop there but rather, grabbed another piece of stone placed on the cargo carrier on the left side of the jeepney and threw it toward the passengers.
He even stayed standing, seemed to be yelling, on the street and seemed to boast what he had just done.
The video was taken on December 19, Monday, at 4:30 in the afternoon, while the streets were busy for the vehicles and passengers who chose to drive or commute before the deadly rush hour.
The netizens shared the sentiments on the dangers the street kids could pose toward the commuters of public utility vehicles.
Some of them even suggested that the street kids be reported to the police to not cause any harm to the public.
