Previously, the burial of the late dictator and former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos at the “Libingan ng mga Bayani “becomes a hot topic in issues and controversies in the country. Many human rights group and martial law victims opposes Marcos hero’s burial.
Also, the controversy about Marcos hidden wealth remains a big question for every Filipino. Does Marcoses become rich by looting public funds or they already have riches before he claims the presidency.
Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos have a total salary of P115, 000 yearly or P9, 600 monthly while they are still in power on 1966. Their yearly income since 1966 to 1986 would be equivalent to P2.3 million in 20 years.
Ferdinand as president is earning a salary of P60, 000 yearly from 1966 to 1976, P100, 000 yearly from 1977 to 1984, and P110, 00 in 1985. While, Imelda work as Minister of Human Settlements in concurrent capacity as Metro Manila Governor was earning P75,000 a year or a total of P718,000 from June 1976 to 1985.
