Arbitration Rules Complied By China According To New Philippine Ambassador

The new Philippine ambassador to Beijing said that the China complies the Permanent Court arbitration rules on Scarborough Shoal.

President Rodrigo Duterte’s academic and political appointee, Jose Santiago Santa Romana said that Beijing ends its blockade of the South China and complies the arbitration rule by letting the Filipino fishermen return to the disputed shoal and resume fishing.

The Permanent Court of Arbitration declared last July 2016 denied the territorial claim of China and declared the Scarborough Shoal as a common fishing ground but China refused to recognize it. Chinese coast guard continued to block Fishermen to their so-called South China Sea.

Arbitration Rules

China let the Filipino Fishermen enters the West Philippine Sea after the state visit of President Duterte to China for boosting the economic ties and to strengthen the relation between the two countries.
