Piolo and Kathryn met after a long time. It was at the christening of actress Maja Salvador’s daughter with her husband Rambo Nunez.
The christening was a star-studded event as many “ninangs” and “ninongs” are popular celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry.

Aside from the fact that they are in the same industry, there is also another bond that binds Piolo and Kathryn. They have been co-owners of a small beach hotel resort in El Nido, Palawan since 2022.
Meanwhile, in a past interview, Piolo Pascual shared the reason why his supposed early retirement did not push through. He said that he wanted to retire before reaching the age of 40. Piolo wanted to leave showbiz while he was still on the top. However, that moment taught him humility.
The A-list actor said that perhaps when he mentioned the early retirement he was supposed to do, it was a wake-up call for him. He said that he is more excited now about doing projects than the time when he mentioned that supposed retirement. Piolo Pascual found a more purposeful endeavor as a celebrity. “You can be a conduit or a vessel for some projects that can help people, other people, or for shows,” he said.
