17 Vietnamese Fishermen Caught Illegally Fishing In Philippine Territories

17 Vietnamese Fishermen caught illegally fishing inside the Philippine territories apprehended in Ilocos Sur on Friday (September 09, 2016).

The Philippine authorities hold the Vietnamese boats for the alleged illegal fishing on country’s territory. 21 nautical miles southwest in the town of Sta. Catalina the 3 fishing vessels of 17 Vietnamese were spotted.

The foreign fishermen held by the authorities because they are caught poaching near the water of Pangasinan, according to Ronnie Paba of Philippine Navy’s Patrol Boat 114. All types of fish were caught in their seines or fishing nets including fry and small fish.

Vietnamese fishing vessels are using prohibited super lights to catch fish in the area according to the initial investigation conducted by the authorities of Philippines.
