President Duterte Renews Invitation for Gibo to Administration
President Duterte renews invitation to Gibo for his administration. In an ambush interview on Tuesday (August 23, 2016) the president offered Lorenzana to be the Ambassador to the United States.
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana was considered to the post of Ambassador in the US and based in Washington as defense attached, and place Gilbert “Gibo“ Teodoro as the substitute. Gibo came from different administrations where he was used to be the head of the defense portfolio.
However, Lorenzana was hesitating to accept the offer of the president. He told the reporters that he wanted to live a quiet life, and he wanted to stay home. The president chooses Teodoro as the new defense secretary and Lorenzana should accept the post in the US.
“Gibo is very talented, very bright, and he handles himself very well, both privately and officially,” said by the president quoted by Inquirer. On Monday (August 22, 2016) in Malacañang, Lorenzana was given a post for being the ambassador in the US was tackled during the meeting.
